Rachel Bell is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon with an interest in open and endovascular aneurysm repair, carotid surgery and varicose vein surgery. She strongly believes in patient-centred services and works for the NHS at Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust as well as London Bridge Hospital as a member of the London Vascular Group. She has previously worked as Honorary Clinical Fellow in Vascular Surgery at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as well as various other positions such as Kings College Hospital London, St. George's Hospital London and Adenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Rachel has written various papers, letters and book chapters in her field; including 'Endovascular repair of aortic arch aneurysms' - 2006. She has recently completed a thesis: 'A clinical study of the systemic and organ specific consequences of endovascular and open surgical repair of thoracic aneurysms.' For which she was awarded a Master of Surgery diploma in March this year. Rachel is also a Vascular Tutor on advanced medical courses and for basic surgical skills courses at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital.
